Ukraine ensured their Division A status after they claimed a crucial 82:70 win over Czech Republic in Kyiv tonight. Oleksiy Pecherov tallied 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the hosts to the victory.
Ukraine outscored the visitors 14:11 in the first quarter. The home team maintained the advantage throughout the second quarter and accumulated a 6-point lead at halftime. Another win over Slovakia for Ukraine

Olexiy Pecherov knocked down 15 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Ukraine swept the exhibition series against Slovakia. The second game turned out victorious 93:59.
Dmytro Glebov came up with 14 points, while Kyrylo Fesenko delivered 11 points and 11 rebounds in the winning effort.
Ukraine will now travel to Hungary for the first game in the EuroBasket relegation round. The game is scheduled for August 5. |

Ukraine prevail against Slovakia

Ukrainian National Team played the first exhibition game against Slovakia. The teams met today in Kyiv and the hosts celebrated a confident 95:72 victory.
Sergiy Gladyr top-scored with 24 points for Ukraine. Olexiy Pecherov added 12 points and 7 boards, while Oleksandr Kolchenko contributed 10 points for the winners.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at 17.00 in Meridian. |

Ukraine clinch 11th position in Serbia

Ukrainian World University selection finished at the 11th spot in Belgrade. They completed their Belgrade journey with a narrow 79:76 win over Latvia.
Ukraine trailed by 9 points at halftime but bounced back in the second half to defy Latvia. Maksym Pustozvonov netted 20 points as Ukraine stole a hard-fought win at the end. Oleksander Sizov contributed 15 points, while Vyacheslav Kravtsov had 13 points and 7 boards for the winners.

Ukraine lose to Finland in Belgrade

Ukraine suffered another defeat at the World University Games as they were unable to handle Finland. Dmytro Glebov knocked down 22 points to lead Ukraine but his effort was not enough in a 62:67 loss.
Sergiy Popov finished the game with 12 points, 5 assists and 4 boards. Maxym Korniyenko tallied 11 points and 13 boards in defeat.
Ukraine will face Latvia for the 11th-12th overall position on Saturday. |

The Ukrainian selection split games at the start of the World University Games in Belgrade.
Ukraine opened their campaign with a comfortable 104:74 victory over Japan. Maxym Kornienko unloaded 33 points to pace the victors. Oleksandr Sizov added 22 points in the win.

Ukraine NT Won 2 in Estonia

Ukraine National Team took part in an international friendly tournament that took part in Estonia.
The Ukrainian side won their opening contest against Estonia 70:68. Serhiy Lishchuk was the game’s top scorer with 27 points and 12 rebounds.
Lishchuk was once again fantastic the following day, but this time in a 69:80 loss to Latvia. He had 30 points and 14 rebounds.
