The united Superleague championship will be held in Ukraine in 2009-2010 season. The teams’ representatives came to a unanimous decision about the new united Superleague season during the meeting in Kyiv on Thursday. Sixteen teams will take part in the tournament. These are:

BC Khimik earned Superleague bronze medals after they beat BC Kyiv 91:73 in the fourth game of the consolation final series. Olu Famutimi came up with 20 points to propel Khimik to a comfortable victory. Olexandr Kolchenko added 17 points going 3/4 from beyond the arc.

Azovmash defended their Superleague title sweeping the series against BC Donetsk. The Mariupol team grabbed a 90:78 road win today to clinch the crown.

Dijon Thompson netted 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to propel Azovmash to the Superleague gold. Azovmash have edged closer to defending their Superleague title. They held off BC Donetsk 81:64 in Game 2 of the finals today to earn a comfortable lead in the series. BC Donetsk now face a hard task of winning three in a row to win the Ukrainian Superleague this year.

Sergiy Lishchuk was once again the main man for Azovmash as he bagged 18 points and 10 boards. Simonas Serapinas and Hasan Rizvic added 17 points apiece for the winners.
